Meet the Clinician
Owner
Speech-Language Pathologist

Kelsey Sullivan, M.S., CCC-SLP, LSVT
I am a licensed speech-language pathologist in the Illinois Metro East. I attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and received a B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2009. During my senior year, I completed an undergraduate research project, Journaling with Aphasia, and presented on my findings at state and national conventions. I went on to complete my graduate studies at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville ultimately completing my degree as M.S. in Speech-Langauge Pathology in 2011.

Since graduating I have worked in many settings across the clinical spectrum. My career began in Early Intervention in the Metro East completing in-home therapy for children birth-3 years old and their families. I enjoyed the personal relationships and the educational opportunities afforded by families allowing me to join them in their daily journey to developing communication skills for their young ones. I then practiced as a speech pathologist in the school district providing intervention for children from 3 years of age through 5th grade. These experiences ranged from providing intervention for articulation delays, phonological delays, language delays, AAC trials and implementation, fluency, social language groups, and individual and group therapy for children with developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders.

Life then opened a door for me to transition into geriatrics to follow my first passion - aphasia therapy. I began in the Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Home Health in 2012 and have been in this area of practice since. I have specialized in cognitive communication deficits and swallowing impairments, specifically mild cognitive impairment and dementia care. I began my training in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release in September 2025 and will be continuing trainings in the upcoming months to further my knowledge and continue to develop my skills.

I currently live in Smithton with my husband, two sons, and three dogs. In my free time I enjoy watching sports, spending time with my family, and staying active.
